Evening Sleigh Rides at Boulder Mountain Ranch, Park City, Utah

January 14th, 2009 by Adrienne Aldous

Some of our recent guests had rave reviews on their experience taking an evening sleigh ride. I thought I would pass on the details if anyone else is interested in enjoying this unique and memorable experience. Boulder Mountain Ranch in Park City, Utah offers 30 minute rides for $100 up to 5 ppl and $25 per person if you have more than 5 people in your group. Visit their website at www.bouldermountainranch.com . Rocky Mountain Sleigh Company offers dinner with their rides at $79 for adults and $59 for children 3-11 yrs old. Check out their dinner fare at www.rockymtnrec.com. While you are at it you might as well look into the tubing offered at Gorgoza Park www.gorgozapark.com . That is a favorite with my kids. You take the lift up effortlessly with an enormous tube and glide down to the warming hut to hot chocolate and snacks. It is totally decadent. Tubing rates for 2 hours are $10 (3-6 yrs) and $20 (7+ yrs).

Send Your Ski Equipment Ahead of Time Before You Ski Utah

January 2nd, 2009 by Adrienne Aldous

Now that we have to pay extra for luggage when we fly the friendly skies, people are finding it cost effective and convenient to send ski equipment in advance of their ski trip to Utah, especially those with large families. Here are a few companies that can service guests if that is how they want to proceed. Try Sports Express (www.sportsexpress.com) or The Luggage Club (www.the luggageclub.com) Prices vary; sending a ski bag door-to-door from Atlanta to Salt Lake City in four business days was $95. Greyhound Package Xpress (www.shipgreyhound.com) charges much less. You do have to go to the Greyhound station to pick up the bag though.

Only at Brighton Ski Resort. It would be different story at Alta or Snowbird. Not sure I can do another day of this but…. someone has to do it. Where is everyone?

December 3rd, 2008 by Adrienne Aldous

The official Quad Wednesday began yesterday at Brighton Ski Resort which means that you pay only $15 for a day pass when you bring a toy to donate to Toys for Tots. Bring your toy to the ticket office. That way everyone wins. Snow fall has been pretty good this year - still early - which is a relative term so far. Lately, we received 4 new inches of snow to ski on. No one can complain that they were too cold to ski.

The snow gods forgot it is only early November.
